Unemployment rate

Percentage of unemployed persons in the labor force.
When used by Emploi-Québec in reference to job prospects by occupation, the unemployment rate for an occupation can be described as :
Low when the estimated unemployment rate was less than 4.8% for the reference year;
Reasonable when the estimated unemployment rate was equal to or superior to 4.8% but less than 10.7% for the reference year;
High when the estimated unemployment rate was equal to or superior to 10.7% for the reference year.

Unemployment rate of graduates

In the Relance Survey of Graduates, percentage of graduates seeking employment in relation to the total number of active graduates (working or seeking a job).

University degree

Certification that the individual has successfully completed a university program at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. level.

University education

Group of university study programs leading to a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or doctorate degree.
